The situation
Christmas didn’t need more noise. It needed a reason to feel something.
What if Christmas is just around the corner?
‘Just Around the Corner’ is our campaign inviting Danes to German Christmas markets, made for the German National Tourist Board — and the winner of two German Brand Awards in 2026. In a busy everyday life, Christmas doesn’t arrive on its own. It needs a moment that opens the door. We built that moment.
Christmas didn’t need more noise. It needed a reason to feel something.
People don’t travel for places. They travel for moments.
Don’t sell the destination. Sell the anticipation — the first feeling of the season.
The campaign moved from promotion to presence — from spectacle to a felt reason to go.
A direct look into the camera. A small gesture that turns the film into a personal invitation.

German Brand Award 2026 · Excellence in Brand Strategy and Creation
In an overloaded seasonal environment, Twenty Eighty deliberately shifted the focus for German Christmas markets in Denmark from information to emotional relevance. ‘Just Around the Corner’ develops a clear dramaturgy that does not merely claim anticipation, but triggers it through cinematic staging and a direct look into the camera. What proves decisive is its implementation as an attention-led system across all touchpoints, complemented by integrated surveys. This creates brand impact based not on volume, but on participation.
In a seasonally saturated environment, Twenty Eighty did not seek more visibility, but renewed anticipation. ‘Just Around the Corner’ positions German Christmas markets through atmosphere rather than promotional logic, developing a cinematic narrative that turns the moment just before arrival into the central brand image. The cross-channel system remains consistent in tone and dramaturgy and uses integrated surveys not as an add-on, but as part of attention-oriented delivery.
